A little bit about the Old Store on Barnard

The Old Store is a fabulous blend of 140 yr old character with all the modern conveniences including a second bathroom and FREE WiFi!

You will feel immediately relaxed and at ease in this warm and friendly house with its two superbly furnished living areas allowing you to spread out and enjoy your stay. To help you unwind there is a small yet diverse library of books, board games and even electronic entertainment if one must.

Escape from the everyday

The Old Store is all about experiencing an escape from the everyday. It's got a cheeky sense of discovery etched into the walls and well worn floors. Sit back and enjoy a complimentary port whilst enjoying the great sound of the retro stereo, whether it be in front of the fire or outside on the spacious deck.

The kitchen can live up to most demands for service especially those of the entertaining bent. However there is no pressure to cook with multiple pubs and the city centre restaurants within walking distance.

The Old Store on Barnard is a new and refreshing take on a piece of Bendigo's heritage offering truly unique boutique accommodation.

The Old Store on Barnard now has two bathrooms and FREE WiFi.

Built in the 1870's to service the booming gold town of Sandhurst (later to be named Bendigo) it stands just 30 metres from its closest mine. There are a multitude of quirk's and perks to find in the many rooms that make up this wonderfully spacious accommodation including the original kitchen mantle and stove, an internal skylight and even authentic Scottish packing boxes laid as flooring many years ago.

Explore Bendigo

It is the perfect base to explore all that Bendigo has to offer including The Central Deborah Gold Mine, The Bendigo Blues and Roots Festival, Heritage Uncorked, The Bendigo Art Gallery, The Bendigo Writers Festival, The Bendigo Woollen Mills, The iconic Star Cinema, The Easter Festival, The Bendigo International Exploratory Music Festival, Bendigo on the Hop Beer Festival, The Goldfields Snooker Championships, The Ulumbarra Theatre, The delicious and diverse cafe and restaurant options and much, much more.....
